An interesting feature of Jonathan Gibbs wood block print work is that he works to the scale of the final print - even when it will be digitally re-produced. Presumably this can be a limiting factor in terms of detail but it could also act as a restraint to prevent an over-rendered piece and ensure that the finished print will suit its scale and remain readable.
